This is what we proclaim to you: what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and our hands have touched (concerning the word of life-- That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
and the life was revealed, and we have seen and testify and announce to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us). the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
What we have seen and heard we announce to you too, so that you may have fellowship with us (and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ). that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
Thus we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete. And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete. We write this to make our joy complete.
Now this is the gospel message we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all. This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, forgiving us our sins and cleansing us from all unrighteousness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
