| 3unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, | 3unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good, |
| 4traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, | 4traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, |
| 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! | 5holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people! |
