4:16 He stood up - Showing thereby that he had a desire to read the Scripture to the congregation: on which the book was given to him. It was the Jewish custom to read standing, but to preach sitting. Mt 13:54; Mr 6:1.

Jesus Sets Out from Judæa for Galilee.
He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, "Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?"
Jesus left that part of the country and returned with his disciples to Nazareth, his hometown.
When Jesus' parents had fulfilled all the requirements of the law of the Lord, they returned home to Nazareth in Galilee.
Then he returned to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. And his mother stored all these things in her heart.
The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written:
Then he said, "You will undoubtedly quote me this proverb: 'Physician, heal yourself'--meaning, 'Do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum.'
But Paul and Barnabas traveled inland to Antioch of Pisidia. On the Sabbath they went to the synagogue for the services.
