The Scriptures Reveal Eternal Life through Jesus Christ
Abandoning that one, Isaac moved on and dug another well. This time there was no dispute over it, so Isaac named the place Rehoboth (which means "open space"), for he said, "At last the LORD has created enough space for us to prosper in this land."
Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will spread out in all directions--to the west and the east, to the north and the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants.
But the LORD will have mercy on the descendants of Jacob. He will choose Israel as his special people once again. He will bring them back to settle once again in their own land. And people from many different nations will come and join them there and unite with the people of Israel.
The nations of the world will help the LORD's people to return, and those who come to live in their land will serve them. Those who captured Israel will themselves be captured, and Israel will rule over its enemies.
O LORD, you have made our nation great; yes, you have made us great. You have extended our borders, and we give you the glory!
"Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will gather you and your children from east and west.
I will say to the north and south, 'Bring my sons and daughters back to Israel from the distant corners of the earth.
