The next morning Pharaoh was very disturbed by the dreams. So he called for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. When Pharaoh told them his dreams, not one of them could tell him what they meant.

And his magicians were puzzled; the rules of their art failed them; these dreams of Pharaoh did not fall within the compass of them. Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I had a dream last night, and no one here can tell me what it means. But I have heard that when you hear about a dream you can interpret it."
Then Pharaoh called in his own wise men and sorcerers, and these Egyptian magicians did the same thing with their magic.
But again the magicians of Egypt used their magic, and they, too, turned water into blood. So Pharaoh's heart remained hard. He refused to listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had predicted.
