I posted watchmen over you who said, 'Listen for the sound of the alarm.' But you replied, 'No! We won't pay attention!'
and lends money at excessive interest. Should such a sinful person live? No! He must die and must take full blame.
They heard the alarm but ignored it, so the responsibility is theirs. If they had listened to the warning, they could have saved their lives.
But if you warn them to repent and they don't repent, they will die in their sins, but you will have saved yourself.
Don't be like your ancestors who would not listen or pay attention when the earlier prophets said to them, 'This is what the LORD of Heaven's Armies says: Turn from your evil ways, and stop all your evil practices.'
