My little daughter - Το θυγατριον μου, that little daughter of mine. The words express much tenderness and concern. Luke observes, Luke 8:42, that she was his only daughter, and was about twelve years of age.
At the point of death - Εσχατως εχει, in the last extremity, the last gasp.

So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him.
He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.
There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place his hand on him.
He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man's eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, "Do you see anything?"
they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.
Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.
