He shall enter also into the glorious land - Entirely subdue Judea.
And many countries shall be overthrown - Aleppo, Damascus, Gaza, and many other cities were forced to submit to them; and they hold them still.
But these shalt escape - Edom and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon - These and other Arabians they have never been able to subdue. They still occupy the deserts; and receive a yearly pension of forty thousand crowns of gold from the Ottoman emperors, to permit the caravans, with the pilgrims for Mecca, to have a free passage.

They will swoop down on the slopes of Philistia to the west; together they will plunder the people to the east. They will subdue Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will be subject to them.
"Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come," declares the LORD. Here ends the judgment on Moab.
"Yet afterward, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites," declares the LORD.
Out of one of them came another horn, which started small but grew in power to the south and to the east and toward the Beautiful Land.
The invader will do as he pleases; no one will be able to stand against him. He will establish himself in the Beautiful Land and will have the power to destroy it.
He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape.
