| 2"The Israelites are to camp around the tent of meeting some distance from it, each of them under their standard and holding the banners of their family." | 2“The people of Israel shall camp each by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers’ houses. They shall camp facing the tent of meeting on every side. | 2"The sons of Israel shall camp, each by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers' households; they shall camp around the tent of meeting at a distance. | 2Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch. | 2The Israelites are to camp under their respective banners beside the flags of their ancestral houses. | 3On the east, toward the sunrise, the divisions of the camp of Judah are to encamp under their standard. The leader of the people of Judah is Nahshon son of Amminadab. | 3Those to camp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah by their companies, the chief of the people of Judah being Nahshon the son of Amminadab, | 3"Now those who camp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, by their armies, and the leader of the sons of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab, | 3And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah. | 3Judah's military divisions will camp on the east side toward the sunrise under their banner. | 9All the men assigned to the camp of Judah, according to their divisions, number 186,400. They will set out first. | 9All those listed of the camp of Judah, by their companies, were 186,400. They shall set out first on the march. | 9"The total of the numbered men of the camp of Judah: 186,400, by their armies. They shall set out first. | 9All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth. | 9The total number in their military divisions who belong to Judah's encampment is 186,400; they will move out first. |
| 10On the south will be the divisions of the camp of Reuben under their standard. | 12The tribe of Simeon will camp next to them. And they shall set out second. | 16All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. | 17Then the tent of meeting and the camp of the Levites will set out in the middle of the camps. They will set out in the same order as they encamp, each in their own place under their standard. | 17“Then the tent of meeting shall set out, with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camps; as they camp, so shall they set out, each in position, standard by standard. | 17"Then the tent of meeting shall set out with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camps; just as they camp, so they shall set out, every man in his place by their standards. | 17Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards. | 17The tent of meeting is to move out with the Levites' camp, which is in the middle of the camps. | 18On the west will be the divisions of the camp of Ephraim under their standard. The leader of the people of Ephraim is Elishama son of Ammihud. | 18“On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim by their companies, the chief of the people of Ephraim being Elishama the son of Ammihud, | 18"On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim by their armies, and the leader of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud, | 18On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud. | 18Ephraim's military divisions will camp on the west side under their banner. | 24All the men assigned to the camp of Ephraim, according to their divisions, number 108,100. They will set out third. | 24All those listed of the camp of Ephraim, by their companies, were 108,100. They shall set out third on the march. | 24"The total of the numbered men of the camp of Ephraim: 108,100, by their armies. And they shall set out third. | 24All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were an hundred thousand and eight thousand and an hundred, throughout their armies. And they shall go forward in the third rank. | 24The total in their military divisions who belong to Ephraim's encampment number 108,100; they will move out third. |
| 25On the north will be the divisions of the camp of Dan under their standard. The leader of the people of Dan is Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai. | 25“On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan by their companies, the chief of the people of Dan being Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, | 25"On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan by their armies, and the leader of the sons of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, | 25The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai. | 25Dan's military divisions will camp on the north side under their banner. | 27The tribe of Asher will camp next to them. The leader of the people of Asher is Pagiel son of Okran. | 27And those to camp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher, the chief of the people of Asher being Pagiel the son of Ochran, | 27"Those who camp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher, and the leader of the sons of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran, | 27And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran. | 27The tribe of Asher will camp next to it. The leader of the Asherites is Pagiel son of Ochran. |

| 32These are the Israelites, counted according to their families. All the men in the camps, by their divisions, number 603,550. | 32These are the people of Israel as listed by their fathers’ houses. All those listed in the camps by their companies were 603,550. | 32These are the numbered men of the sons of Israel by their fathers' households; the total of the numbered men of the camps by their armies, 603,550. | 32These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty. | 32These are the Israelites registered by their ancestral houses. The total number in the camps by their military divisions is 603,550. |
| 33The Levites, however, were not counted along with the other Israelites, as the LORD commanded Moses. | 33But the Levites were not listed among the people of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses. | 33The Levites, however, were not numbered among the sons of Israel, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. | 33But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses. | 33But the Levites were not registered among the Israelites, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. |
| 34So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; that is the way they encamped under their standards, and that is the way they set out, each of them with their clan and family. | 34Thus did the people of Israel.
