But Ebed-Melek, a Cushite, an official in the royal palace, heard that they had put Jeremiah into the cistern. While the king was sitting in the Benjamin Gate,

But Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, an important court official, heard that Jeremiah was in the cistern. At that time the king was holding court at the Benjamin Gate,

Ali Kušit Ebed-Melek, dvorjanin koji bijaše u kraljevskom dvoru, doču da su Jeremiju bacili u čatrnju dok je kralj upravo sjedio kod Benjaminovih vrata.

És meghallotta Ebed-Melek, a szerecsen, a ki udvari szolga vala (õ pedig a király házában vala), hogy Jeremiást a verembe vetették, a király pedig a Benjámin-kapuban ül vala.

Or Ebed-melec, etiopo, eunuco che stava nella casa del re, udì che aveano messo Geremia nella cisterna. Il re stava allora seduto alla porta di Beniamino.

Ma Ebed-melec Etiopo, eunuco, il quale era nella casa del re, avendo udito che avevano messo Geremia nella fossa ora, il re sedeva allora nella porta di Beniamino,

Serta kedengaranlah kabar kepada Ebed-Melekh, seorang Kusyi dari pada segala sida-sida yang di dalam istana baginda, mengatakan diturunkannya Yermia ke dalam perigi (maka pada masa itu adalah baginda duduk dalam pintu gerbang Benyamin),

Contudo, Ebede-Meleque, o etíope, eunuco e oficial do palácio real ficou sabendo que haviam atirado Jeremias na cisterna. Enquanto o rei estava à porta de Benjamim,

Quando Ebede-Meleque, o etíope, um eunuco que então estava na casa do rei, ouviu que tinham metido Jeremias na cisterna, o rei estava assentado à porta de Benjamim.
