"Therefore, son of man, say to your people, 'If someone who is righteous disobeys, that person's former righteousness will count for nothing. And if someone who is wicked repents, that person's former wickedness will not bring condemnation. The righteous person who sins will not be allowed to live even though they were formerly righteous.'

"Son of man, give your people this message: The righteous behavior of righteous people will not save them if they turn to sin, nor will the wicked behavior of wicked people destroy them if they repent and turn from their sins.

“And you, son of man, say to your people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him when he transgresses, and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall by it when he turns from his wickedness, and the righteous shall not be able to live by his righteousness when he sins.

"And you, son of man, say to your fellow citizens, 'The righteousness of a righteous man will not deliver him in the day of his transgression, and as for the wickedness of the wicked, he will not stumble because of it in the day when he turns from his wickedness; whereas a righteous man will not be able to live by his righteousness on the day when he commits sin.'

Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

Now, son of man, say to your people: The righteousness of the righteous person will not save him on the day of his transgression; neither will the wickedness of the wicked person cause him to stumble on the day he turns from his wickedness. The righteous person won't be able to survive by his righteousness on the day he sins.

"And now, Son of Man, say this to your people: 'The righteousness of the righteous won't save them when they keep on committing crimes against me, the wickedness of the wicked won't keep them from remaining away when they're turning from their wickedness, and no righteous person will keep on living by their righteousness when they sin.'

"And you, son of man, say to your people, 'The righteousness of the righteous will not deliver him if he rebels. As for the wicked, his wickedness will not make him stumble if he turns from it. The righteous will not be able to live by his righteousness if he sins.'

"Son of man, say to your people, 'The right things that a righteous person has done will not save him when he rebels. The wicked things that a wicked person has done will not make him stumble when he turns from his wickedness. The righteous person will not live when he sins.'

And thou, son of man, say unto the sons of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him the day that he rebels; and the wickedness of the wicked shall not impede him in the day that he turns from his wickedness; and the righteous shall not be able to live by his righteousness in the day that he sins.

Therefore, you son of man, say unto the children of your people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall by it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness in the day that he sins.

Te pedig, embernek fia, szólj néped fiaihoz: Az igaznak igazsága meg nem menti õt a napon, a melyen vétkezendik, és a hitetlen hitetlensége által el nem esik a napon, melyen megtérend hitetlenségébõl, és az igaz nem élhet az [õ igazsága] által a napon, melyen vétkezendik.

Und du, Menschenkind, sprich zu deinem Volk: Wenn ein Gerechter Böses tut, so wird's ihm nicht helfen, daß er fromm gewesen ist; und wenn ein Gottloser fromm wird, so soll's ihm nicht schaden, daß er gottlos gewesen ist. So kann auch der Gerechte nicht leben, wenn er sündiget.

Und du, Menschenkind, sprich zu deinem Volk: Wenn ein Gerechter Böses tut, so wird's ihm nicht helfen, daß er fromm gewesen ist; und wenn ein Gottloser fromm wird, so soll's ihm nicht schaden, daß er gottlos gewesen ist. So kann auch der Gerechte nicht leben, wenn er sündigt.

Du aber, o Menschensohn, sprich zu deinen Volksgenossen: den Frommen wird seine Frömmigkeit nicht retten an dem Tage, da er sich vergeht, und den Gottlosen wird seine Gottlosigkeit nicht zu Falle bringen an dem Tage, da er sich von seiner Gottlosigkeit bekehrt; aber auch ein Frommer kann durch sie nicht am Leben erhalten bleiben am Tage, da er sich versündigt.

Figliuol d’uomo, di’ ancora a’ figliuoli del tuo popolo: La giustizia del giusto non lo salverà, qualora egli avrà misfatto; ed altresì l’empio non caderà per la sua empietà, nel giorno ch’egli si sarà convertito dalla sua empietà; come per essa il giusto non potrà vivere, nel giorno ch’egli avrà peccato.

YEHEZKIEL 33:12
Tetapi engkau, hai anak Adam! katakanlah olehmu kepada bani umat-Ku: Bahwa kebenaran orang benar tiada akan meluputkan dia pada hari ia berbuat jahat, dan kejahatan orang jahatpun tiada akan menjatuhkan dia pada hari ia bertobat dari pada kejahatannya, dan orang yang benar itu tiada boleh hidup oleh kebenarannya pada hari ia berbuat dosa!

Por este motivo, ó querido filho do homem, diz aos teus compatrícios: O caráter justo de uma pessoa não pode livrá-la se tal pessoa se entregar à incredulidade e à desobediência; assim como a malignidade do ímpio não fará ninguém cair se essa pessoa se converter da sua maldade e se desviar do mau caminho. E se o justo se entregar ao pecado, não poderá continuar vivendo justamente.

Portanto tu, filho do homem, dize aos filhos do teu povo: A justiça do justo não o livrará no dia da sua transgressão; e, quanto à impiedade do ímpio, por ela não cairá ele no dia em que se converter da sua impiedade; nem o justo pela justiça poderá viver no dia em que pecar.
