The king summoned the enchanters, astrologers and diviners. Then he said to these wise men of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing and tells me what it means will be clothed in purple and have a gold chain placed around his neck, and he will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom."

The king shouted for the enchanters, astrologers, and fortune-tellers to be brought before him. He said to these wise men of Babylon, "Whoever can read this writing and tell me what it means will be dressed in purple robes of royal honor and will have a gold chain placed around his neck. He will become the third highest ruler in the kingdom!"

The king called loudly to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers. The king declared to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and shows me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

The king called aloud to bring in the conjurers, the Chaldeans and the diviners. The king spoke and said to the wise men of Babylon, "Any man who can read this inscription and explain its interpretation to me shall be clothed with purple and have a necklace of gold around his neck, and have authority as third ruler in the kingdom."

And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.

The king screamed for the psychics, astrologers, and fortunetellers to be brought to him. He told these wise advisers of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing and tells me its meaning will be dressed in purple, wear a gold chain on his neck, and become the third-highest ruler in the kingdom."

Erõsen kiáltozék a király, hogy hozzák elõ a varázslókat, a Káldeusokat és jövendölõket. Szóla a király és monda a babiloni bölcseknek: Akárki legyen az az ember, a ki elolvassa ezt az írást, és annak értelmét megjelenti nékem, bíborba öltöztetik és aranyláncz lesz a nyakában, és mint harmadik parancsol az országban.

Und der König rief überlaut, daß man die Weisen, Chaldäer und Wahrsager heraufbringen sollte Und ließ den Weisen zu Babel sagen: Welcher Mensch diese Schrift lieset und sagen kann, was sie bedeute, der soll mit Purpur gekleidet werden und güldene Ketten am Halse tragen und der dritte HERR sein in meinem Königreiche.

Und der König rief überlaut, daß man die Weisen, Chaldäer und Wahrsager hereinbringen sollte. Und er ließ den Weisen zu Babel sagen: Welcher Mensch diese Schrift liest und sagen kann, was sie bedeute, der soll in Purpur gekleidet werden und eine goldene Kette am Halse tragen und der dritte Herr sein in meinem Königreiche.

Mit lautem Rufe befahl der König, die Wahrsager, Chaldäer und Sterndeuter hereinzubringen. Der König hob an und sprach zu den Weisen Babels: Wer immer die Schrift da lesen kann und mir zu sagen weiß, was sie bedeutet, soll mit Purpur bekleidet werden, die goldene Kette am Halse tragen und als Dritter im Reiche herrschen!

Maka berserulah baginda dengan kuat, disuruhnya orang membawa masuk akan ahlulnujum dan orang Kasdim dan orang petenung. Maka titah baginda kepada segala orang alim di Babil itu: Bahwa barangsiapa yang dapat membaca suratan ini dan memberitahu aku artinya, ia itu akan dikenakan pakaian ungu dan kalung emas pada lehernya dan iapun akan memegang perintah dalam kerajaan ini pada pangkat yang ketiga.

Aos berros, o rei mandou chamar imediatamente os adivinhos, os astrólogos, os místicos e determinou a esses sábios da Babilônia: “Quem conseguir ler esta inscrição e me declarar a sua verdadeira significação, receberá um manto de púrpura real, ganhará uma corrente de ouro para o pescoço, e será nomeado o terceiro em importância no governo do meu reino!”

E ordenou o rei em alta voz, que se introduzissem os encantadores, os caldeus e os adivinhadores; e falou o rei, e disse aos sábios de Babilônia: Qualquer que ler esta escritura, e me declarar a sua interpretação, será vestido de púrpura, e trará uma cadeia de ouro ao pescoço, e no reino será o terceiro governante.

Och konungen ropade med hög röst och befallde att man skulle hämta besvärjarna, kaldéerna ock stjärntydarna. Och konungen lät säga så till de vise i Babel: »Vemhelst som kan läsa denna skrift och meddela mig dess uttydning, han skall bliva klädd i purpur, och den gyllene kedjan skall hängas om hans hals, och han skall bliva den tredje herren i riket.»
