1 Samuel 19:5
He took his life in his hands when he killed the Philistine. The LORD won a great victory for all Israel, and you saw it and were glad. Why then would you do wrong to an innocent man like David by killing him for no reason?"

Have you forgotten about the time he risked his life to kill the Philistine giant and how the LORD brought a great victory to all Israel as a result? You were certainly happy about it then. Why should you murder an innocent man like David? There is no reason for it at all!"

For he took his life in his hand and he struck down the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great salvation for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood by killing David without cause?”

Ai ka vënë në rrezik jetën e tij, kur vrau Filisteun, dhe Zoti ka kryer një çlirim të madh për gjithë Izraelin. Ti e ke parë dhe je gëzuar; pse duhet të mëkatosh kundër gjakut të pafajshëm, duke shkaktuar vdekjen e Davidit pa shkak?".

On je stavio život svoj na kocku, ubio je Filistejca i Jahve je pribavio veliku pobjedu svemu Izraelu: vidio si i radovao se. Zašto bi se, dakle, ogriješio o nevinu krv ubijajući Davida bez razloga?"

Nebo se opovážil života svého a zabil Filistinského, a učinil Hospodin vysvobození veliké všemu Izraeli. Viděls to a radoval jsi se. Pročež bys tedy hřešil proti krvi nevinné, chtěje zabiti Davida bez příčiny?

Want hij heeft zijn ziel in zijn hand gezet, en hij heeft den Filistijn geslagen, en de HEERE heeft een groot heil aan het ganse Israel gedaan; gij hebt het gezien, en gij zijt verblijd geweest; waarom zoudt gij dan tegen onschuldig bloed zondigen, David zonder oorzaak dodende?
