Food, raiment, dwelling, health and friends,

Thou, Lord, hast made our lot;

With Thee our bliss begins and ends,

As we are Thine, or not.

For these we bend the humble knee,

Our grateful spirits bow;

Yet from Thy gifts we turn to Thee --

Be Thou our portion, Thou!
