Sirach 39:11
Good News Translation
If he lives to old age, he will die famous, but if he is laid to rest before he is famous, he will be content.

New Revised Standard Version
If he lives long, he will leave a name greater than a thousand, and if he goes to rest, it is enough for him.

Contemporary English Version
If they live to old age, they will be famous, and if not, they will be content to be at rest.
