Sirach 34:23
Good News Translation
When one person builds and somebody else tears down, has anything been accomplished but hard work?

New Revised Standard Version
The Most High is not pleased with the offerings of the ungodly, nor for a multitude of sacrifices does he forgive sins.

Contemporary English Version
Sinners cannot please God Most High, and he will not forgive them, even if they offer sacrifice after sacrifice.

The Most High is not pleased with the gifts of the godless, nor for their many sacrifices does he forgive their sins.
