Sirach 30:2
Good News Translation
If a son is disciplined, he will be of some use, and his father can boast of him to his friends.

New Revised Standard Version
He who disciplines his son will profit by him, and will boast of him among acquaintances.

If parents correct a child, they will someday boast about how much help that child has been to them.
