Sirach 29:14
Good News Translation
A good man is willing to guarantee his neighbor's debts. Only someone who has lost all sense of decency would refuse to do so.

A good person will be surety for his neighbor, but the one who has lost all sense of shame will fail him.

When a friend needs a loan, a good person will guarantee that the loan will be repaid. To refuse to help this friend would be a disgrace.
