Sirach 22:24
Good News Translation
Fumes and smoke appear before the flames do; insults come before violence.

New Revised Standard Version
The vapor and smoke of the furnace precede the fire; so insults precede bloodshed.

When you smell smoke you will soon see flames, and when you hear insults, you will soon see murder.
