Sirach 18:18
Good News Translation
It is stupid to be unkind and insulting. No one's eyes are going to sparkle at a gift that you resent giving.

A fool is ungracious and abusive, and the gift of a grudging giver makes the eyes dim.

So don't be a fool. People's eyes will sparkle, if your generosity is sincere and you speak with kindness.
