Sirach 16:9
Good News Translation
He showed no mercy on that nation which he doomed to destruction for its sins,

He showed no pity on the doomed nation, on those dispossessed because of their sins;

They were doomed because of their sins, and the Lord showed no mercy as he swept them away.
