Judith 8:24
Good News Translation
"No, my friends, we should set an example for our own people. Not only their lives, but the fate of the Temple and the altar depend on us.

“Therefore, my brothers, let us set an example for our kindred, for their lives depend upon us, and the sanctuary—both the temple and the altar—rests upon us.

Contemporary English Version
Our people are depending on us. In fact, the future of the altar and the temple is in our hands. And so, my friends, let's show our people that we haven't given up hope.
