Good News Translation
We do not worship gods made with human hands. Not one of our clans, tribes, towns, or cities has ever done that, even though our ancestors used to do so.

“For never in our generation, nor in these present days, has there been any tribe or family or people or town of ours that worships gods made with hands, as was done in days gone by.

It's true that many of our ancestors worshiped gods made by human hands. Yet none of us alive today has ever sinned like that.
