Judith 4:13
Good News Translation
The Lord heard their prayers and saw their distress. For many days the people of Judah and Jerusalem continued their fast in front of the Temple of the Lord Almighty.

The Lord heard their prayers and had regard for their distress; for the people fasted many days throughout Judea and in Jerusalem before the sanctuary of the Lord Almighty.

The Lord heard their prayers and saw how much they were suffering. For several days, the people of Judea and Jerusalem stayed there at the temple of the Lord All-Powerful and went without eating.

Saying: Know ye that the Lord will hear your prayers, if you continue with perseverance in fastings and prayers in the sight of the Lord.

So all the enemies of Israel be, if you persevere in this work which you have begun.

So they being moved by this exhortation of his, prayed to the Lord, and continued in the sight of the Lord.
