2 Maccabees 8:30
Good News Translation
The Jews later fought against the forces of Timothy and Bacchides and killed more than 20,000 of them. They captured some very high fortresses and took a lot of loot, which they divided equally among themselves and the widows, orphans, old men, and the victims of persecution.

New Revised Standard Version
In encounters with the forces of Timothy and Bacchides they killed more than twenty thousand of them and got possession of some exceedingly high strongholds, and they divided a very large amount of plunder, giving to those who had been tortured and to the orphans and widows, and also to the aged, shares equal to their own.

Contemporary English Version
Judas and his soldiers fought against the armies of Timothy and Bacchides, killing more than 20,000 enemy troops and capturing some strong hill fortresses. The soldiers gave equal shares of everything they had captured to their families, the widows, the orphans, the elderly, and the victims of torture.
