2 Maccabees 5:25
Good News Translation
Apollonius arrived in Jerusalem, pretending to be on a peace mission. Then on a Sabbath, when all the Jews were observing the day of rest, he led his troops, who were fully armed, in a parade outside the city.

New Revised Standard Version
When this man arrived in Jerusalem, he pretended to be peaceably disposed and waited until the holy sabbath day; then, finding the Jews not at work, he ordered his troops to parade under arms.

Contemporary English Version
When Apollonius arrived in Jerusalem, he lied and said he wanted peace. But on the Sabbath, which is our sacred day of rest, he ordered his soldiers to take their weapons and parade outside the city.
