2 Maccabees 12:7
Good News Translation
The gates of the city were locked, so Judas withdrew; but he was determined to return at some other time and wipe out everyone living there.

Then, because the city’s gates were closed, he withdrew, intending to come again and root out the whole community of Joppa.

But when Judas found the gates to Joppa closed, he led his troops away, planning to wipe out the town another time.
