Good News Translation
Then, while the fire was consuming the sacrifice, Jonathan the High Priest led the people in prayer, and Nehemiah and all the people responded.

And while the sacrifice was being consumed, the priests offered prayer—the priests and everyone. Jonathan led, and the rest responded, as did Nehemiah.

While the offerings were being burned, a priest named Jonathan began praying. Nehemiah, the other priests, and the rest of the people also joined in the prayer
