Good News Translation
When Judas learned that Nicanor's visit was part of a plot against him, he was afraid and decided not to meet him again.

It became known to Judas that Nicanor had come to him with treacherous intent, and he was afraid of him and would not meet him again.

But Judas found out what Nicanor had in mind, and he was frightened and refused to meet with him.

When he became aware that Nicanor had come to him with deceit in mind, Judas was afraid of him and would not meet him again.
