He also dealt with the people of Baean, who were a constant threat to the people of Israel, because they would lie in ambush waiting to trap Israelite travelers.

He also remembered the wickedness of the sons of Baean, who were a trap and a snare to the people and ambushed them on the highways.

Then Judas promised God, "Now I'll destroy the Baeanites, that gang of robbers and murderers who set traps for Jewish travelers." So he ordered his troops to surround the towers where they were hiding and to burn down the towers with everyone inside.
