Good News Translation
The Idumeans were blockading the Israelites, so Judas went to war against them at Akrabattene, crushed them, and looted them.

New Revised Standard Version
But Judas made war on the descendants of Esau in Idumea, at Akrabattene, because they kept lying in wait for Israel. He dealt them a heavy blow and humbled them and despoiled them.

Contemporary English Version
Judas fought back by attacking the Idumeans, who had often ambushed the people of Israel. Finally, in the region of Akrabattene, he wiped out most of them and took everything of value.
