1 Maccabees 4:61
Good News Translation
Judas placed a detachment of soldiers there to guard the Temple. He also fortified the town of Bethzur, so that the people of Israel would have a fortress facing Idumea.

Judas stationed a garrison there to guard it; he also fortified Beth-zur to guard it, so that the people might have a stronghold that faced Idumea.

and Judas stationed soldiers there. He also built a fortress in the town of Beth-Zur to keep Israel safe from attack by the Idumeans.
