Good News Translation
So we have decided to write to various kings and countries urging them not to harm the Jews, their towns, or their country in any way. They must not make war against the Jews or give support to those who attack them.

New Revised Standard Version
We therefore have decided to write to the kings and countries that they should not seek their harm or make war against them and their cities and their country, or make alliance with those who war against them.

Contemporary English Version
We are keeping this gift and writing letters to countries and kings, warning them not to cause any trouble for the Jews. Please don't attack the towns or country of the Jews or help any enemies who do.
