Good News Translation
He sent him a gold shoulder buckle, which is given only to those honored with the title "Relative of the King." He also gave him the city of Ekron and its surrounding territory.

Contemporary English Version
He sent a gold buckle that only the most respected members of the king's family were allowed to wear. Alexander also gave Jonathan the town of Ekron and the land around it.
