Tears Vocal
Luke 7:44
And he turned to the woman, and said to Simon, See you this woman? I entered into your house, you gave me no water for my feet…

— Tears have a voice with them, nay, they are not only vocal, but importunate. "What do you weeping, and breaking my heart?" saith St. Paul (Acts 21:13). You may remember how the tears of Moses, whilst he was floating in an ark of bulrushes on the water, prevailed with Pharaoh's daughter. "The babe wept," saith the text, "and she had compassion on him" (Exodus 2:6).
