Christ's Beauty
Isaiah 53:2
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he has no form nor comeliness…

It was not a beauty of form, it was the beauty of expression. It was not the beauty of statuary, it was the beauty of life. It is the purpose of God to disappoint the senses. He has victimized the eyes, and the ears, and the hands of men.

(J. Parker, D. D.)
