Writing
Writing

Writing in Bible times was very different from today. There were no pencils, ball-point pens, fountain pens, and of course no computers. Most writing was done on broken pieces of pottery, called potsherds. Some writing was done on pieces of wet clay, called clay tablets, using a stylus to make wedge-shaped marks on the clay. Other writing was done on animal skins or on papyrus, a paper-like material made from reeds. Later, people wrote on wax tablets.
