On his First Missionary Journey, Paul shared the Gospel with Sergius Paulus, governor of Cyprus, but an evil sorcerer named Elymas, or Bar-jesus, tried to stop the governor from believing. For that, he was punished and struck blind (Acts 13:1-12).
