Jesus saw many different coins during His life on earth. At the left is the tetradrachm of Tyre, probably one of the thirty pieces of silver Judas Iscariot received for betraying Jesus. At the right is the front and back of a farthing, worth two mites, the price for a sparrow (Matthew 10:29).
