Bethany, modern Azariyeh or Lazariyeh, the place of Lazarus was the home of Mary, Martha and Lazarus. At the right is the modern Church of St. Lazarus. At the left are ruins of an ancient church. This is the traditional site where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.
