"We have heard" them from parents, teachers, ministers. II. They are things TO BE RETAINED. Should be held, not merely in memory as facts, but in heart as forces. III. They are things the retainment of which requires MOST DETERMINED EFFORT. 1. The loss of them would be the greatest calamity. 2. A possible calamity.
