Doing Difficult Work
Mark 2:4
And when they could not come near to him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up…

When you cannot do a good thing, then is the very time to do it. If it cannot be done in one way, do it in another. If there is no way of doing it on the ground level, get up on to the roof and do it. "Where there is a will, there is a way." The best work done in the world has been work that could not be done; and there is rarely a time when you ought not to do something that cannot be done — as it seems to you.

(H. C. Trumbull.)

Parallel Verses
KJV: And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

WEB: When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
