Soul Liberty
Galatians 2:3
But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:

Paul circumcised Timothy, but would not allow Titus to be, to show that Christianity

(1)  is independent of ceremonies,

(2)  can exist without them. Soul liberty is —

I. ESSENTIALLY IDENTIFIED WITH CHRIST.

II. IS OPPOSED TO A RITUALISTIC MINISTRY.

III. IS TO BE DEFENDED WITH UNCOMPROMISING DETERMINATION.

(D. Thomas, D. D.)

Parallel Verses
KJV: But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:

WEB: But not even Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.
