James 2:14-26 What does it profit, my brothers, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? can faith save him?… I. Without holiness of heart and life, we cannot be in a justified state, because holiness of heart and life, with its remote consequences here and hereafter, is the very end and design of our justification. II. Without holiness of heart and life we cannot be in a justified state, because the principles implied in justification infallibly produce holiness of heart and life. III. Holiness of heart and life is the only evidence which we can give of our justification to our fellowmen and to the Church of Christ. IV.
