Leviticus 1:6-13 And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.… Some children lost their Sunday-school teacher by death. The scholars gathered round the open grave, and the little hands dropped in their wreaths of flowers. They talked afterwards about his goodness and his love, and then considered what they should do to keep his memory bright. One little girl said: "Let us keep his grave fresh with flowers," so every Sunday, after school hours, one of the little girls was told off to beg the flowers she could not gather, and lay them on her teacher's grave. Twelve months passed away, and one sultry July morning one of the grave-diggers saw, lying on the grave which had been so tenderly cared for, a little slumbering child of five or six years. He took her in his arms and gently woke her up. "Where am I?" exclaimed the aroused sleeper. Then suddenly recalling why she had come there, she added, "Oh, I know; it was my turn to put the flowers on teacher's grave last night, and I couldn't find anything half good enough. He used to call me his 'little flower,' and I thought I would give myself to him, just to show him how I loved him." In that cemetery there are two graves opposite each other, the one the Sunday-school teacher, and the other that of the little girl, and on her grave are these words, "Little Flower."
