The Perfect Knowledge of God
1 Corinthians 2:11-12
For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man…

I. HOW IT IS POSSIBLE.

1. Only the spirit of man knows what is in man.

2. So the Spirit of God only knows the things of God.

3. Hence the things of God can only be known by him who has the Spirit.

II. HOW IT IS OBTAINABLE.

1. Not by him who has the spirit of the world.

2. But by him who receives the Spirit by a new birth, and consequently by the Spirit understands the things that God has freely given in His Word.

(J. Lyth, D. D.)
