Acts 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. I. HE STRENGTHENS THEM TO BOLDNESS IN CONFESSING, the power of which their enemies cannot resist. II. HE ADORNS THEM WITH PURITY OF CONDUCT, which the tongues of blasphemers cannot stain. III. HE FILLS THEM WITH A TENDERNESS OF LOVE, which prays for their bitterest enemies. IV. HE SWEETENS THEIR DYING with a blessed insight into His eternal glory. (Leonhard.)
