Numbers 19:1-22
And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,…


I. IN ITS CHARACTERISTICS.

1. Fulness of life.

2. Perfection of life.

II. IN THE TREATMENT TO WHICH IT WAS SUBJECTED.

1. The heifer was sacrificed.

2. The heifer was sacrificed "without the camp."

III. IN THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT WAS DESIGNED.

1. The red heifer was intended to cleanse from ceremonial defilement.

2. The ashes of the heifer were efficacious for this purpose: "How much more shall the blood of Christ," &c.
