But One Forsaken and He Victorious
2 Samuel 7:15
But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before you.

At Mildmay, Mr. Spurgeon related the story of an aged saint, who, depressed much with bodily infirmity, asked a friend if he ever knew anyone forsaken of God, for that was his condition. "Only one," was the reply, "but He to-day is sitting on His Father's throne."
