15 he that talked with me, had a golden reed to measure the city, its gates, and its walls. 16 the city was a square, the length being as large as the breadth: he measured the city with the reed, and found it twelve thousand furlongs: the length, the breadth, and the height of it were equal. 17 he measured the wall, and it was an hundred and forty four cubits, according to the common measure, which was what the angel employed.
